An awesome, awesome weekend on Saltspring Island which included edible flowers, cut-throat crazy eights, chasing butterflies, spotting deer in the woods, salt water swims, a little knitting and a three hour ferry ride to get there (but dang was it worth it)!
A fun, mixed-up weather weekend at my parents where, nearby there are plenty of grassy hills, grand old maple trees, mountain views, berry fields and a dairy farm (but also plenty of mosquitoes, I am scratching like crazy!).
It's HARD to eat watermelon when you've got no front teeth!

There's crazy beautiful wool, cotton and alpaca yarn, fabric, sewing and knitting patterns and kits. I'm ordering some sewing patterns for myself and the kids tonight.

It was a big birthday weekend around here. Ollie turned six on Friday. Six is big, a threshold kinda year. We stayed out all day yesterday, picnicing and playing in the park and then going for a swim at our favourite outdoor pool. Dontcha love how he pulls up his argyle socks? This was after he got changed out of his swimsuit. Happy Birthday my sweet, sweet guy!
