In 1946, Salvador Dalí and John Hench, a Disney studio artist storyboarded "Destino". A seventeen second animation test was all that came to be as the studio's financial constraints prevented the production from completion. Back to the vault it went until Walt Disney's nephew Roy, decided to revive it in 1999. The Parisian production department and 25 animators (!) deciphered the storyboards and completed the film.
After over three years' hiatus, I've added a couple items to my Etsy shop. These quilted jackets were thought of when Aris was little more than the size of a kiwi fruit but then life (and the second baby) happened and, well, they just never came to be. I am happy to have finished them. Perhaps a sign of more to come...
I have put one of my bias tape makers to use and ended up with two and a half yards of the stuff. The fabric is Liberty of London's tana lawn in "Betsy". This fabric is heaven! It presses so crisply - so nice to work with.
Daisy is a harbour porpoise living at our Aquarium and she is just the sweetest thing. I'm pretty sure she makes every single visitor's day as she hovers in front of the viewing window "smiling" at everyone who stands with gleeful wonder in front of her.
