I am quickly developing a new found love of linen - the texture, the way it absorbs light and gives off shadow and simply the history of the material and how it's transformed into fabric.  I have never considered owning bedlinens actually made from linen before but now I can't seem to stop thinking about it.

These covers and shams are from Bella Notte, most of their items a little ornate for me but these neutral hues seem to show off the inherent characteristics of the fabric most beautifully.  I've had some plain, white linen in my cupboard for ages and now I know what it's meant to become...pillowcases!
