Mothers' Day was again spent at the Bird Sanctuary. We saw a Sandhill Crane, a blue heron, sandpipers and swans but alas, no great-horned owl this time. The marshes and estuaries are beautiful - so peaceful to look out for miles and miles in all of that open space.
Bird seed was flung and dropped just about everywhere, including from the knotholes at the top of the observatory tower.
